The Partnership has formed two small cross-Partnership strategic advisory groups to help and provide strategic advice on target setting, the Action Agenda and Biennial Science Work Plan; and to provide strategic advice to Lead Organizations on developing their six-year investment strategies and identifying priorities for funding. These strategic advisory groups are organized around two strategic focus areas that are consistent with the updated Action Agenda outline and mirror those of the Lead Organizations:
- Watershed and Marine/Nearshore Protection and Restoration (Members)
- Toxics, Nutrients and Pathogen Prevention and Reduction (Members)
The advisory groups will:
- Serve as a sounding board and vetting forum for staff from the Partnership and Lead Organization core teams.
- Help create consistency and synergy between 6-year investment strategies and the Action Agenda.
- Support coordination among the Partnership's boards and provide timely advice and feedback and advance discussions at meetings of the Leadership Council, Ecosystem Coordination Board, and Science Panel.
- Support coordination across the national estuary Management Conference and provide timely advice and feedback by communicating and advancing discussions with tribal, federal, state, and environmental caucuses.
- Participate in adaptive management analysis and recommendations.
- Communicate back to represented entity on evolving strategies and actions.
Note: These strategic groups are advisory: they do not make decisions, and will not maintain formal proceedings.
