Second South Sound Science Symposium set for May 6

What do we know about the ecology of south Puget Sound? How can we link threats with indicators?

Scientists from across the region will convene next week to answer these questions and integrate research across many disciplines ranging from geology and atmospheric sciences to biology and chemistry.

“The restoration of southern Puget Sound is a large effort that includes dozens of scientists and efforts,” said John Konovsky, environmental program manager for the Squaxin Island Tribe, a co-organizer of the symposium. “This is an event to not only see everyone doing work to help understand the South Sound environment, but for scientists to see what other scientists are doing.”
