Proceedings from research conference now online
The Proceedings of the 2007 Georgia Basin Puget Sound Research Conference are now available for download from the conference Web site: http://www.engr.washington.edu/epp/psgb/2007psgb/2007proceedings/.
The Proceedings include abstracts or full papers from the 260 oral and 164 poster presentations at the conference, which was held in late March in Vancouver, B.C. The presentations represented a wide range of topics including the recovery of Northern abalone, food web dynamics, modeling tools for tracking nutrients, and management approaches to restoring the Puget Sound-Georgia Basin region.
Also available are transcripts from many special panel sessions and a list of undergraduate and graduate students who won awards for their oral and poster presentations.
Every two years, the Puget Sound Partnership and Environment Canada co-host these cross-border conferences. This time, more than 900 delegates attended. The conference program included three plenary sessions and more than 70 presentations, panel discussions and forums
CDs of the Proceedings are also available for a small fee. Contact Mary Jane Shirakawa, 206.221.3936 or psgb@engr.washington.edu.
