Leadership Council holds regular meeting on Aug. 30-31

The Leadership Council of the Puget Sound Partnership will hold its regular meeting Aug. 30-31 at the Kitsap Conference Center, Puget Sound Ballroom, 100 Washington Ave., in Bremerton. The Aug. 30 meeting is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Aug. 31 meeting is from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The agenda includes:

  • An introduction of David Dicks, newly appointed Executive Director of the Puget Sound Partnership.
  • A briefing from David Dicks on his goals for the Partnership.
  • A presentation on the health of the Puget Sound Ecosystem.
  • A presentation of the 2020 Action Agenda.
  • A briefing on salmon recovery in Puget Sound—past, present and future and the critical elements for success.
  • A decision on setting the boundaries for the Action Areas.
  • An overview of Hood Canal—its problems and actions needed for success.

On Aug. 30, there will be an open reception from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a dinner from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with the Leadership Council and the Salmon Recovery Council.
