Leadership Council holds regular meeting on Sept. 21

The Leadership Council of the Puget Sound Partnership will hold its regular meeting from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sept. 21 at the Tacoma Rhodes Center, Orcas room, 949 Market St. in Tacoma.

The agenda includes:

  • Welcoming comments by Bill Baarsma, Mayor of Tacoma; John Ladenberg, Pierce County Executive; and members of the Puyallup Tribe.
  • A report from David Dicks on accomplishments from his first three weeks as Executive Director of the Partnership, upcoming activities and Partnership office locations.
  • A local presentation on the restoration of the Thea Foss Waterway and the revitalization of downtown Tacoma.
  • Review and recommendations for Action Area boundaries, as well as a discussion on how the Partnership will use the Action Areas.
  • A presentation on developing the 2020 Action Agenda.
  • Bill Ruckelshaus, Chair of the Leadership Council and David Dicks will discuss the role of the Ecosystem Coordination Board, along with an update on the process to appoint members to the Board.
  • Next steps for communications strategies and setting up a non-profit.
