Leadership Council holds regular meeting on Oct. 1

The Leadership Council of the Puget Sound Partnership will hold its regular meeting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 1 at the Edmonds Conference Center’s Chrysanthemum Room, 201 Fourth Ave. N. in Edmonds.

The agenda includes:

  • Report from David Dicks, Executive Director of the Puget Sound Partnership.
  • Next steps on developing the 2020 Action Agenda.
  • A briefing from the Northwest Straits Commission.
  • Appointments to the Ecosystem Coordination Board and possibly the Science Panel.

There will also be a break from 12:15 to 2:45 p.m. for lunch and an executive session.

The Ecosystem Coordination Board will be made up of 27 individuals representing specific interests around Puget Sound, including counties, cities, ports, business, the environmental community, tribes, state and federal government, legislation and from each of the seven Action Areas. The nine-member Science Panel will provide independent scientific advice to the Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council. Membership recommendations will come from the Washington Science Academy. For more information on the Science Panel, visit: http://www.psp.wa.gov/about_us/science.htm.
