Grant Writer and Strategist

The Grant Writer and Strategist is part of the Partnership’s new Strategic Funding Team and will provide the state, Tribes, and local partners with technical assistance and capacity to prepare grant applications for submission. This position will identify funding opportunities, develop high-quality grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies, and monitor grant progression with the goal of increasing the number of successful submissions for local and regional recovery projects.

Grant Writer and Strategist duties may include:

  • Write high-quality concept papers, letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports for current and prospective funders including federal, state, and local government entities and private and corporate foundations.
  • Create compelling, persuasive, well-structured grant narratives using effective storytelling and relevant data.
  • Evaluate, design, determine, and develop competitive grant proposals to appropriate funding opportunities for submission, including budgets and timelines.
  • Assist in identifying new funding needs and new proposal opportunities.
  • Tracking, managing, and communicating timelines and deadlines to achieve timely proposal submissions.
  • Understanding and being able to explain grant regulations and guidelines.

The annual range of compensation is between $71,500.00 - $86,500.00. Employees and their families are covered by medical (including vision), dental, long-term disability, and basic life insurance. Contracts Coordinator (one permanent, one project)

The Partnership’s Contracts Coordinators (One Permanent, One Project) will lead contract activities for several of the agency’s largest programs and provide expert level consultation and assistance with questions and complex contract fiscal budget matters to ensure funds are used in the most effective and efficient manner possible. The annual range of compensation is between $80,000.00 - $97,000.00. Employees and their families are covered by medical (including vision), dental, long-term disability, and basic life insurance. Fiscal and Budget Analyst

The Partnership’s Fiscal and Budget Analyst will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, reviewing, and controlling of contract budgets and expenditures. You will perform senior-level fiscal activities and will be responsible for ensuring that all contract expenditures are made in accordance with state and federal law; contract budget and expenditure data is accurately reflected in the agency accounting records; and that fiscal policy and procedures are established in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the State Accounting and Administrative Manual (SAAM). The annual range of compensation is between $71,500.00 – 86,500.00. Employees and their families are covered by medical (including vision), dental, long-term disability, and basic life insurance. Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program (PSEMP) Manager

The Partnership’s Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program (PSEMP) Manager is responsible for managing the overall coordination and support of PSEMP and supervising one FTE employee. PSEMP, which is a broad network of monitoring experts and organizations, is a key element of the Puget Sound Partnership’s strategic science program and the center of the Partnership’s efforts to enable strategic learning about ecosystem conditions and the impact of ecosystem recovery efforts. The annual range of compensation for this position is between $90,693 – $103,965. The expected hiring salary will typically be less than the top of the range to allow for growth and development progression increases.
